Estonian Book 500

The exhibition dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book takes visitors on a journey through the world of written words – from the first mention of the Estonian-language book to the Declaration of Independence. The exhibition presents 12 stories that highlight significant works that have influenced every aspect of Estonian history and have shaped the development of our culture.  

The comics are inspired by the article collection of the National Libraries of Estonia and Latvia, celebrating the joint anniversary of the first appearance of Estonian and Latvian Print. The article collection will be published in May 2025.  

The exhibition is part of the Year of the Estonian Book program and will remain open until May 1, 2025.
