Statutes
The National Library was established on 21 December 1918, and operates based on the National Library of Estonia Act, these statutes and other legal acts in accordance with the international norms and principles regulating library work. The collegial decision-making body is the Council of the Estonian National Library, which is appointed by the Riigikogu.
